Company/Careers

Build the future of operations.

We build AI agents that automate the world's most operationally complex industries. If you're looking for a comfortable corporate job, this probably isn't it. If you want to help build a generational company, pull up a chair.

How we work

We're building JakoAI differently.

No politics.
No managers managing managers.
High ownership.
Fast decisions.
Weird ideas are welcome.
LEGO shelves are encouraged.
Why people join us

Big problems. Huge impact. You in?

Work directly with founders.

Build products that ship in days, not quarters.

Solve problems nobody has solved before.

Have disproportionate impact.

Own meaningful equity.

Work with people you'll happily grab a beer with after work.

Life at Jako

The hard 20% is the whole job.

Most automation stops where the work gets interesting: the exception, the judgment call, the thing nobody wrote down. That's where we start.

What you'd build

The platform, not the agents

Agents build agents here. Engineers build the system underneath them: the discovery that learns a process, the runtime that executes what comes out of it, and the tools both of them call.

How we work

Shadow mode, then production

Every process is proven against real historical work before it goes live. Your platform is what makes that comparison possible, line by line against a human's, and then runs it for real.

Why it's hard

Real work is messy

Handwritten orders, 05:40 phone calls, a rule that only lives in someone's head. Discovery has to capture the why behind a decision, and your tools are what let it.

Open roles

We're hiring AI Engineers.

Two roles open right now. If you don't see your fit but think you belong here, write to us anyway: tell us a process you'd want to teach a machine.

AI Engineer

Israel · Full-time · Multiple openings
Open

What you'll do

  • Build the platform that turns observation into a working agent: the discovery that learns how a process really runs, and the runtime that executes what it produces.
  • Build the tools both sides call, into ERPs, inboxes, documents and screens, so a generated agent can touch the messy real world.
  • Make generated agents trustworthy: evals, shadow-mode comparison against real historical work, and the guardrails that decide when a human steps in.
  • Make the next process cheaper than the last. The platform is the leverage, never any single agent.

What we look for

  • Red-pilled on AI: you think the days of writing code by hand are done, and you've already stopped writing it that way.
  • You've built harnesses: the scaffolding, tools and context that let an agent actually finish a job rather than demo one.
  • You've run loops, and you've been down in the agent slop: the drift, the confident nonsense, the runs that go nowhere. You know how to get real work out the other side.
  • Rigour about accuracy: you measure before you claim.

Field AI Engineer

Tel Aviv, Israel · Full-time · Customer-facing
Open

Also known as Forward Deployed Engineer, FDE or Applied AI Engineer: the industry renames this job every few months. The work hasn't changed.

Not a classic backend role, and not AI research. You'll work directly with mid-market companies, get deep into how their operations really run, find where AI creates real leverage, then build, deploy and own the system until it works in production.

Native speakers from many countries. We're looking for native speakers of a range of languages; the role itself is based in Tel Aviv, Israel. Tell us your native language when you apply.

What you'll do

  • Sit with users and learn how a messy, half-documented process actually runs, then find where AI creates real leverage.
  • Connect to the systems you don't control: legacy software, ERPs and CRMs, databases and third-party APIs.
  • Make the architecture calls, write the production code and debug it inside the customer's own environment.
  • Own each deployment from discovery and scoping through to production, and stay on it until it actually works. On-site with customers when needed.

What we look for

  • You have both, not one or the other: serious engineering depth and real customer-facing engineering experience.
  • 5+ years as a software, backend, fullstack or platform engineer, building and debugging production systems. You still write production-grade code yourself.
  • You've delivered technical solutions directly with external customers, as an FDE, applied AI, customer or solutions engineer with significant coding responsibility.
  • Hands-on production experience with LLMs, agents, tool calling and evals.
  • You work independently when requirements are incomplete, and move easily between users, stakeholders, architecture, code and deployment.
  • You care far more about measurable production impact than AI demos or buzzwords.
